Because modern life is very complex, it is essential for young people to have the ability to plan and organize.
Society nowadays is fast-changing and highly competitive and requires people to devote a lot of energy and time to solve problems and catch up on the pace. Whether it is essential for young people to have the ability to plan and organize can be weighed in many aspects. From my perspective, I do concur with the statement that it is important to foster these abilities in an early stage.
Admittedly, some people will hold a position that young people still have time to waste and explore themselves. Because they are still naïve and callow, wasting time at home during the weekend or having no life direction in their future is acceptable. However, time elapses faster than people’s imaginations, planning and organization are keys to being well-developed in youngsters.
First of all, young people in the university have wider choices on their academic pursuits and more free time to use than lower education. With more choices and time to exploit, students must have the ability to manage themselves. For example, professors usually assign many tasks and laboratory work for students, and students will also spend time on extracurricular activities. In the intensive schedule, young people should cultivate themselves with a sense of priority, clearly knowing the hierarchy of importance of many events. When establishing the ability to organize their schedule, students can not only have fair academic performances on their studies but also will not lose any chances to gain experience from extracurricular activities such as clubs or volunteer services. After graduation, the ability of planning and organization can further help them find ways to adapt to the dynamic social environment. Therefore, it is critical that young people should develop the ability to manage themselves as early as possible.
On the other hand, plan and organization can help people find a balance between work and life. In this generation, people lay on technology’s convenience and relish a more efficient life. However, the efficiency of technology also makes people have to deal with problems more frequently than in the past. The pressure from works has been very high, and people have to find a way to release stress and spend time to company their families. In this case, the ability to plan in advance and organize the schedule becomes pivotal to people’s life. Moreover, with a routine and stable schedule, people can have clear and healthy minds instead of readily losing life directions and getting frustrated by high pressure. Consequently, a well-planning schedule can aid people in having balanced lifestyles and maintaining mental health.
To sum up, the statement is as persuasive as it stands. Based on my expositions mentioned above, although young people still have time to explore themselves, planning and organizing should be cultivated early. Furthermore, these two abilities are the key to become well-developed and find balances in life.
